William Weston, Associate - Aerospace & Defence
Bill has over 40 years in the aerospace and defence related fields. His broad background includes strategic planning, aerospace operations, management, public policy, and government relations.
During his Air Force career, he served in France, Germany and the United States in various senior operational, technical and administrative appointments. In 1988, he joined the aerospace and defence related fields for his knowledge, expertise and ability to deal with difficult subject areas.
In addition to a number of other aerospace and defence related organizations, Bill is currently a Director of the Canadian Institute of Strategic Studies. He also serves on the Air Command Advisory Committee, and he is a Member of Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute. Bill was past senior Vice-President of the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada. In 1994 he was appointed by the Governor General as Honorary Colonel of 51 Aerospace Control and Warning Squadron.
He is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, with a B.A. in history, geography and international studies as well as a graduate of the Canadian Forces and United States Armed Forces Colleges. He has served on the Board of Directors of Air Show Canada and the International Aviation Management Training Institute.
